Services
Passengers:
Start by
entering your Travel Request at www.Taxijet.com. Our
software will automatically list requests on our web site and email
them to air taxi and air charter operators servicing the requested,
and nearby, airports. Once they have received the Travel Request operators
have the option to submit a bid for service if they have an
available aircraft. The bids are forwarded to the Requester in
two formats:
a. If the bid was submitted through Taxijet's online system it
is forwarded to the Requester along with the Operator's contact
information, web address and information about the aircraft and
pricing of the
bid.
b. If the bid was submitted by email or fax it is manually
forwarded to the Requester without the operator's contact
information. If you are interested in booking a flight that
does not have contact information for the operator simply contact
Taxijet and ask for assistance.
The system was
designed to enable very short notice flight arrangements. If
you need an aircraft NOW this is the system you should use. We
can also provide quick response for trips as far in advance as two
to four weeks.
Life
is short. Time is money. Get to
your meeting and be home in time to tuck the kids in bed.
Talk directly to the
aircraft operator not to a broker.
Charter
Companies:
Our automated system
can bring your Travel Requests that match your operations. A
filtering feature sends the request only to the operators who fly in
the area of the request. This reduces the need for operators
to manually sort through requests to find the ones that fit their
operations. In less than a minute you can enter your pricing
information to be presented Directly to the Requester in a
standardized format.
Entering your bid
through our online system helps us make the connections quickly
and can speed your quote to the Requester instantly after you enter
the bid. The system automatically adds 5% to the
charter price (less taxes). This is the industry standard
discount that operators generally offer to brokers and other demand
aggregators such as Taxijet.com. We can process quotes submitted
by email or fax but there will be delays in presenting it to the
Requester due to the need to manually process these quotes.
Because the bid must be processed manually we add a flat 10% to the
charter price (less taxes). Connections between operator and
Requester will only be made after the operator has supplied Taxijet
with FAA certification documentation and agreed to Taxijet's terms
and conditions.
Owner Operators:
We aim to enable small partnership owner operators to
function as autonomous, yet interdependent, air taxi services.
As integral pieces of the entire network they are relieved of
the need for traditional advertising by submitting their
bids for service on www.taxijet.com. We connect
travelers directly to the operators to speed the process, and
maximize efficiency. The demand aggregation provided by our
online system is designed to enable rapid communication between
passengers in need of an aircraft and operators in need of a steady
flow of passengers.
Finally the love of flying can be a competitive advantage
for pilots:
1)
Empty
legs will be seen as fringe benefits to be enjoyed.
2)
Pilots will be able to take vacations in their own jet when it is
not scheduled for revenue flights.
3)
Flexibility of
personal schedules can be built into the flight schedule during its
inception. Airline
pilots only gain personal schedule consideration after years of
seniority have elevated them to the top of the pilot cadre.
4)
The joy
of jet ownership will inspire care and consideration for the
equipment and business.
5) VLJ
owner operator pilots will not need to spend hundreds of thousands
of dollars on a personal airplane. They will already have
one.
6)
Pilots
will be their own managers.
7)
Small
groups of owner operator pilots will be responsible for their own
training and customer service.
8)
Pilots
will be able to choose the other pilots with whom they fly. Long time friends work
together much better in a cockpit than new acquaintances.
9)
A pilot
qualified under part 135 and as a Mentor pilot will likely find
gainful flying employment in almost any location in the U.S as these
are both jobs that will be in high demand in the
future.
10)
Pilots
will be able to live near their aircraft so they will not need to
pay the additional expense of holding an apartment away from
home.
11) Owner operator pilots will be home more
nights than airline pilots if they want to
be.
12)
Those
B-747's carry too much gas anyway.
13)
Pilots
will be able to dictate how much or how little flying they wish to
do. With 8 partners a
pilot could average 200 days off per year or more and still make a
six figure income.
14)
No
chance of furlough.
Operation viability will hinge on performance.
15)
The
added revenue from aircraft ownership could make first
year income higher than that of an airline pilot with many
years of seniority.
16)
Pilots
early to the game will get in on the ground floor of the next
generation of air travel and will be rewarded with higher
fares. They will also
be able to choose their home base before that market becomes
saturated.
17)
Pilots,
who are forced to retire from the airlines at age 60, will love
the idea of owning a portion of a personal jet. The age
60 rule is a part 121 requirement so you could still fly part 135 in
your own jet.
18)
Pilots
over 60 years in age who are forced to retire from airline flying
will be able to continue flying as a Mentor Pilot or, if you don't
have the instructor background required you could fly as a second
pilot to help keep owner pilots safe and allow them better insurance
rates.
Cities with
populations too small to support larger airline or full scale
charter services will require an increasing presence of small
aircraft operators to meet their travel needs. As the network
of affordable on demand air taxi grows passengers will become
more aware of this viable alternative to airline and ground based
transportation.

Air Charter
Brokers:
Air charter brokers
will benefit by using our state of the art automated passenger and
freight coordination system to quickly find available aircraft
to satisfy the requirements of their clients. We don't plan to
provide the extra level of services that some high end customers
desire so we plan to work with brokers to help them in their
efforts. Using our service a broker will be able to
query many operators about aircraft availability in the amount
of time it would take to dial a phone. We will help
you find those elusive empty legs and drastically reduce the cost to
your clients.
Brokers can
establish a "Requester" account to submit Travel Requests to
participating operators. The operators will be able to send
you a bid in the same manner that they will send bids to an
individual.
Liability issues and
recent FAA directives limit our ability to allow brokers to
submit Bids or MT Legs using our system. If you
represent a certificated aircraft operator and they are willing to
list you as an "agent" of their company you will be able to use our
system to submit bids. Call us for more
information.
Taxijet's proprietary software is designed to
allow passengers and freight shippers to advertise their travel
needs directly to aircraft operators but there will always be a
need for brokers to help travelers understand and deal with the
many complexities of air charter and air taxi.
The process in use today is very confusing and
requires a lot of monitoring to keep the aircraft utilization rates
high. Most brokers use several different sources to find
flights for their clients. Aircraft operators are equally busy
finding passengers for their aircraft. At the center of
this complex problem is that people are doing with great effort
and expense what computers and automation can do quickly
and easily. Our concept will make the air charter
broker's job easier.
Shippers:
Making connections
for cargo/freight is another valuable use of Taxijet.com. Our
software can send requests for cargo aircraft as easily as passenger
requests. Operators can send their bids directly to shippers
in a minute or two.
